Long-established broadcast company relaunches itself as a media company to reflect full-service radio and digital marketing suite serving local businesses
Somerset, Ky. (August 5, 2026) – Forcht Broadcasting announced today that it has rebranded as Forcht Media, reflecting the company’s evolution into a full-service media organization offering radio broadcasting, digital advertising, and creative services to businesses throughout Kentucky, Indiana, and Illinois.
The rebrand reflects the company’s mission to help local businesses grow across its market regions. Businesses and agencies can take advantage of Forcht Media’s full suite of radio, digital marketing and creative services through a single provider.
The company, formerly Forcht Broadcasting, began in 1981 when owner and founder Terry Forcht purchased WAIN 1270 AM in Columbia Kentucky, under subsidiary Key Broadcasting. Key Broadcasting began expanding across small-market radio in Kentucky, Indiana, and Illinois. In 2008, Key Broadcasting was rebranded to Forcht Broadcasting.
Since then, Forcht Media has expanded its services and product suite, giving businesses not only a local voice, but also the ability to reach audiences beyond the airwaves. In addition to providing a platform for community voices through radio broadcasting, the company now enables clients to reach wider audiences through digital advertising solutions and creative services, including website and graphic design. This comprehensive approach helps clients connect with their target audiences more effectively, achieve their marketing objectives, and drive business growth.
“For nearly five decades, local businesses have trusted us to help them connect with their customers through radio. The transition to Forcht Media is more than a new name. It reflects the evolution and growth of our company. While radio remains the heart of who we are, we also offer a comprehensive portfolio of media, marketing, and creative services designed to help our clients and business partners grow. Our greatest reward is seeing local businesses succeed and the positive impact that success has on the communities we proudly serve,” said President/CEO Neil Middleton.
Forcht Media remains committed to serving the communities it represents, supporting local businesses, and delivering results-driven marketing solutions.
