A Louisa man will appear in a Pike County court on September 13th to face embezzlement charges.
Micheal Wayne Nelson was the secretary and treasurer for the Sheet Metal, Air, Rail and Transportation Workers 496 and is accused of writing union checks to himself totaling over $35,000 from December 2017 until June of 2021.
He faces up to 15 years in prison.
