Hazard Police are investigating a shooting incident that resulted in one vehicle being struck by a bullet near exit 59 where KY-15 meets the Hal Rogers Parkway.
Originally, the driver of the vehicle believed a rock hit their vehicle; however, when they arrived home, they found a round in the bottom of their windshield.
The window did not shatter from the bullet.
The Perry County School District ordered lockdown of the schools near the incident.
Students were eventually released from lockdown and the buses received a police escort to take students home.
