Eastern Kentucky Leads State in Unemployment

Eastern Kentucky still leads the state in unemployment. 

Martin County’s jobless rate is 12.4%, followed by Magoffin County at 11.4%, Elliott and Lewis counties at 10.4%, and Johnson and Knott counties at 8.1%.

Overall, the state saw a bump in the unemployment rates in all 120 counties. 

The county with the lowest unemployment rate is Woodford County with 3.8% unemployment.
