SOUTH WILLIAMSON, KY. (August 29, 2025) – Kentucky State Police Pikeville Post received a call on August 28, 2025, at 8:34 p.m. reporting a vehicle collision involving a pedestrian on US 119 in the South Williamson community of Pike County. Troopers from Post 9 responded and began the investigation.
The initial investigation indicated a black Audi A3 was traveling southbound on US 119 when Meghan Jones, 36 years old, of Williamson, WV, was attempting to cross the roadway and was struck by the vehicle. Jones was pronounced deceased on scene by the Pike County Coroner’s Office. The investigation is ongoing by KSP Accident Reconstructionist, Trooper Matt Smith.
Trooper Smith was assisted on scene by Kentucky State Police Post 9 personnel, Belfry Volunteer Fire Department, and Appalachian First Response Ambulance Service.
