The Floyd County Sheriff’s Department has arrested two people on charges of endangering the welfare of a child.
Officers were called to a home in Prestonsburg last week where it was reported that Brett Blankenship was fighting with another man and a child could be heard screaming in the background.
A woman later showed up at the scene, identified as Jaime Blankenship.
She told police she was the owner of the home and that her son and boyfriend were fighting.
She said her son was not supposed to be there and asked him to leave.
Brett Blankenship tried to barricade the front entry, but police were able to get inside the home by going through the back door.
Brett and Jamie Blankenship were charged with endangering the welfare of a minor.
