Boil Water Advisory for Large Portion of Johnson County

A large portion of Johnson County is under a boil water advisory after a water main break.   

Paintsville Utilities says so far there have been no reports of contamination.   

The boil water advisory is for: Ponderosa Drive from the Paintsville Wastewater Plant to the end of the road, including Jasper Lane; All of West Van Lear, Van Lear, and Powell Addition; Hager Hill along RT 321 from Powell Addition to the American Standard Bridge; All of the American Standard area, including Cannel Coal Gap, Delong Road, and Industrial Drive. 

This advisory is being issued as a precautionary measure and is in effect until further notice.
