In a special called meeting on Tuesday afternoon, the Paintsville City Council voted in favor of an agreement with the Johnson County Fiscal Court with regards to funding for the ambulance service.
The city’s ambulance service responds to calls not only within city limits, but also across Johnson County.
The agreement presented by Johnson County Judge-Executive Mark McKenzie, and now signed by Paintsville Mayor Bill Mike Runyon, states that the fiscal court will pay the city a maximum of two hundred thousand dollars of the city’s ambulance fund deficit.
