A project to lessen the flood risk in Johnson County has been temporarily suspended by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
The Corps suspension deals with the proposed design along Walnut Avenue while the design is being reevaluated.
The Corps is evaluating options that could reduce construction and utility impacts in the area, as well as reduce operations and maintenance costs.
