Kentucky State Police are investigating the death of a Floyd County woman.
Troopers with Kentucky State Police Post 9 in Pikeville say they received a call from Prestonsburg 9-1-1 on Saturday about an unresponsive woman in Hueysville.
When troopers and investigators arrived on Mulberry Lane, they discovered a deceased woman outside near the railroad tracks.
Police say the woman has been identified as 32-year-old Trishanna Anderson of Garrett.
The Floyd County Coroner’s Office pronounced Anderson dead at the scene.
Her body has been taken to the Kentucky State Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy, and the cause of death has not yet been determined.
Detective Joseph Coleman is leading the investigation. He was assisted at the scene by personnel from Kentucky State Police Post 9 and the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office.
The investigation remains ongoing.
