If you’re an American Idol fan, a Hazard native is made his debut on the ABC hit talent show this week.
Landon Hughes, a Hazard High Schoo graduate appeared on the show Monday night.
He calls the experience both surreal and deeply rooted in the community that raised him.
Hughes has most recently been living in Las Vegas, working for Nike and a local soccer academy.
He said he received a call from Idol producers while he was out with friends playing golf.
