A Floyd County woman died in a house fire on Friday night.
It happened around 10:30 PM at a home along Route 979 in Harold.
A press release from the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office says the fire claimed the life of the home owner, 79-year-old Juanita Hall.
Another resident of the home was transferred to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The Mud Creek Volunteer Fire Department was on the scene of the fire.
The Floyd County Sheriff’s Office, Floyd County Coroner’s Office, and the Kentucky State Fire Marshal’s Office are investigating.
