Additional federal funding is coming to Martin County to improve the water system.
The announcement was made by officials on Tuesday stating that an additional $5 million have been approved to continue upgrades including extending water lines, replacing water meters, and improving water treatment systems.
Congressman Hal Rogers is credited with securing over $18 million to improve the water system since 2017.
