The price of a gallon of gas took a major jump by nearly 30 cents a gallon this week.
Gas prices at many area gas stations in Paintsville and Prestonsburg saw an increase on Monday.
The price of a gallon of regular, unleaded gas suddenly went from around $3.29 to about $3.59.
There are some gas stations in Pikeville with gas at $3.24 for a gallon of regular unleaded.
