2025 KHSAA Girls State Soccer Tournament

Congratulations to the Johnson Central Lady Eagles Girls Soccer Team on Winning their 1st Game in the 2025 KHSAA Girls State Soccer Tournament over Estill Co (9-1). Johnson Central’s Karlea Stanley scored 4 Goals in the Game (35:32 1st H, 31:20 1st H, 16:06 1st H, 12:36 2nd H), Braylee Murphy (35:56 1st H), Lauren Arrowood (25:57 1st H), Lily Jarrell (18:12 1st H), Josie Dials (27:59 2nd H), Callie Davis (16:19 2nd H) with 1 Goal each.
Stanley also had 1 Assist. Lilly Jarrell, Braylee Murphy, Lauren Arrowood and Callie Davis each had 2 Assist. JC Goalie Greta Lewandoski had 4 Saves in the Game.
Estill County’s lone Goal came off the foot of Jeanna Jackson at 13:28 mark of the 1st Half.

JCHS improves to 21-2 overall and will now Advance into the Elite 8 of the State Tournament and will face the Winner of Boyle Co vs Highlands, who plays tonight.

2025 KHSAA Boys State Soccer Tournament

Congratulations to the Prestonsburg Blackcats Boys Soccer Team on Winning their 1st Game in the 2025 KHSAA Boys State Soccer Tournament over Powell Co (3-1). Prestonsburg got 1 Goal each from Treyton Hackworth, Andrew Goble and Andy Cardenas. Teagan Slone had 2 Assist and Christian Amador had 1 Assist. Blackcats Goalkeeper Denver Stanley had 8 Saves and allowed only 1.
Powell Co’s lone Goal came of the Foot of Kobe Keenon on an Assist from Nate McCoy. Pirates Goalkeeper Jaxon Weddington allowed 3 Goals, but had 12 Saves.

PHS improves to 21-2 overall and will now Advance into the Elite 8 of the State Tournament and will face the Winner of West Jessamine vs Covington Catholic, who plays tonight.
