The Johnson Central Golden Eagles Boys Basketball Team Captured their 10th All-Time 15th Region Championship on Monday evening and by doing so, punched their Ticket to Rupp Arena, defeating Pikeville 81-68 at the Appalachian Wireless Arena.
The victory was the sixth (6) Regional Title secured by Head Coach Tommy McKenzie.
The Golden Eagles 1st Round match-up at the 2026 UK Healthcare Boys Basketball Sweet 16 will be Thursday, March 19th at 8:30 p.m. Johnson Central will face the Champion of the 10th Region, which will be either George Rogers Clark or Montgomery County.
