Body of Missing Floyd County Man Found

The Kentucky State Police Pikeville Post troopers located Phil Colley deceased near a utility access road in the Buckhorn community.

Colley was pronounced deceased by the Floyd County Coroner’s Office.

The cause of death is under investigation; however, foul play is not suspected.

An autopsy will be performed at the Medical Examiner’s Office in Frankfort.

MCDOWELL, Ky. (January 04, 2025) –The Kentucky State Police Pikeville Post is asking for the public’s assistance as part of an ongoing missing person investigation of a Floyd County man.

Phil Colley, 65 of McDowell was last seen in the Ned’s Fork area of Frasure’s Creek on January 02, 2025 at approximately 12:00 p.m.

Phil is described as a white male 6’1’’ tall, roughly 180 pounds, with brown hair. Phil was last seen wearing a blue UK hat, blue jeans, a blue flannel shirt, and black shoes.
