The Johnson Central Lady Eagles picked up their 13th Win of the Season this Evening, defeating the 16th Region Morgan Co Lady Cougars (55-41)
JCHS was led in Scoring by Taylor McKenzie 13 pts, Sophie Younce had 8 pts (8 rebounds), Kaylyn McKenzie with 8 pts, Addie Burchett scored 7 pts, Maddie Prater with 6 pts, Karlea Stanley with 5 pts (6 rebounds), Hayley Marsillett with 4 pts, Becca Wright and Abby Stambaugh scored 2 pts each (Wright also had 5 assist and 4 steals).
The Lady Eagles trailed 29-20 at the Half, but they used Defensive Pressure to force Morgan Co into Turnovers, which JCHS would then turn into points on their end to outscore the Lady Cougars 20-5 in that 3rd Qtr. JCHS also out rebounded Morgan Co 28-20 and had 17 steals in the game.
Johnson Central would pick up their 13th Victory Tonight, but also got a Forfeit Win over Jenkins scheduled for tomorrow. So the Lady Eagles are actually 14-0 and will have the next couple days off before traveling to Logan, W.Va on Saturday to face a Very Good George Washington Team.
