The Magoffin County Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public’s help in finding vandals who have damaged several mailboxes.
In the Salyersville Independent Sheriff Bill Meade said the vandalism of the mailboxes is a federal offense, and those involved could receive a sentence of up to three years in jail and be fined $150,000.
If you, or someone you know, have caught these acts on surveillance video, contact the Sheriff’s Office at 606-349-2914, or talk to your postmaster.
