One person was injured in a shooting incident in West Van Lear Sunday night.
A Facebook post made by Paintsville Police Department officials said a drive-by shooting happened around 9 p.m. Sunday night in the West Van Lear community.
WYMT is reporting that there were several calls from the area reporting the shooting.
One caller said they heard someone knocking on a door, and three minutes later, there were shots fired.
Witnesses said a blue, four-door coupe drove through the area and opened fire on the home.
The injured person was flown out of the area to seek treatment for a hand injury.
The incident is still under investigation.
