Paintsville Independent Schools Investigate Threat

The administration of Paintsville Independent High School found out about a possible threat of violence at the school.

A news release from Superintendent Tom Salyer said the school learned about a text one student made to another threatening to “bring a gun to school and cause harm.”

Paintsville police investigated and concluded there was never any danger at the school.

The release said additional law enforcement was added at the school.
