State of Emergency Declared following Tropical Storm Helene

The cleanup from the damage caused by tropical storm Helene has started. 

Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear has issued a state of emergency in several counties including Breathitt, Letcher, Magoffin, and Wolfe.   

At one point, an estimated 4 million people along the storm’s path were reported without power.

In Paintsville, the Bristlebuck Manor was damaged when a large portion on the sixth floor of the exterior of the building fell off during the storm.

No one was injured.
