Inez, KY – TEK Center is proud to announce that it has been awarded a $3.18 million grant through the Abandoned Mine Land Economic Revitalization (AMLER) program. This funding will support TEK Center’s mission of preparing the skilled trades workers of tomorrow, fueling economic growth and development in Eastern Kentucky.
The grant will be used for the development of a new TEK Center campus in the industrial park on Gifford Road in Magoffin County. This state-of-the-art facility will have the capacity to train 400 students annually in high-demand trades, creating a pathway for success in industries such as construction, electrical, plumbing, and more. The new location will also generate up to 36 new full-time jobs, contributing to the economic revitalization of the region.
