Kentucky’s Antonio Reeves scored a game high 30 points, including 22 in the first half, as the No. 9 Kentucky Wildcats breezed past archrival Louisville 95-76 on Thursday night at the KFC Yum! Center in Louisville. Reeves became just the fourth UK player to ever score at least 30 points against Cards, joining Derrick Miller (34 in 1988), Kenny Walker (32 in 1984) and Tony Delk (30 in 1995).
Other CATS had big games as well, Tre Mitchell had 18 points and 12 rebounds, while Reed Sheppard had 11 points and a career-high 11 assists. Justin Edwards finished with 13 points, while Rob Dillingham had 12. With the Win, Kentucky improved to (9-2) overall, while Louisville falls to 5-7.
The Wildcats return to action on Thursday, Dec. 29, hosting Illinois State from Rupp Arena. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. and the game can be seen on the SEC Network.
