Kentucky State Police have arrested Shannon S. Price, of Van Lear, after he tried to flee from troopers after an attempted traffic stop.
In an article in the Paintsville Herald, troopers said Price allegedly was seen on Highway 23 turning into a parking lot at an unsafe speed and parking in a no-parking area.
Price was seen going into the store’s restroom.
Additional troopers arrived, and after Price was in the facility for 15 to 20 minutes, he came out and surrendered.
Price reportedly told troopers he had placed a false report to 911 about a gunman walking on the highway hoping troopers would leave.
