It wasn’t the Univ. of Kentucky’s Men’s Basketball Teams prettiest of Wins, but a Win is a Win. UK had a bit of a hangover after its overtime win vs. Gonzaga over the weekend and Colgate nearly humbled the Cats on their home floor last night.
Kentucky opened the game on a 17-0 run, but the Raiders stormed back and would take their first lead of the game in the second half at 41-40. The Cats however would recover and use a second-half surge to overcome the scare and win, 78-67.
Koby Brea led Kentucky with 17 points on 5-3’s, Otega Oweh and Amari Williams put in 15 each, it was 11 points and 10 boards for Andrew Carr and Jaxson Robinson.
The Cats will face their Rival Louisville Cardinals this Saturday at Rupp Arena with a tip-off set for 5:15 PM. Pregame begins at 3:30 PM on 98.9 FM WSIP and wsipfm.com
