Two Louisa Women Indicted in Lawrence County Drug Trafficking Case

Two women from Louisa have been indicted by the Lawrence County grand jury on allegations of what appears to be a fairly large drug trafficking operation.

Court documents show that in December Amber Gilpin and Rita Napier were arrested with nearly 250 grams of heroin, nearly a gram of fentanyl, more than 3 grams of meth and more than 21 grams of cocaine along with digital scales, a transaction ledger and several other items used for packing and selling drugs.

Last week the grand jury indicted them both for trafficking.

Bail for each was set at $50,000.
