Appalachian Wireless Charity Golf Scramble Underway in Prestonsburg

The annual Appalachian Wireless Charity Golf Scramble is underway today at Stone Crest Golf Course in Prestonsburg.

The event brings together Appalachian Wireless vendors and business partners, who help raise money through team and entry fees. Organizers say 100 percent of the proceeds are donated to a selected charity each year.

This year’s beneficiary is Casting For Kids, a local organization that raises money for Shriners Children’s Research Hospital.

“Not only are we having the scramble, but we are also going to attend the Casting for Kids event on Friday night and Saturday,” said Kristen Mulcahy, Appalachian Wireless Marketing Director.

The annual tournament has become a tradition of combining community support with charitable giving across Eastern Kentucky.
