A body found in Prestonsburg Tuesday near the mouth of Sugar Loaf Branch has been confirmed to be a woman who had been missing since last month.
The Floyd County Coroner‘s office has identified the remains found as Kayla Reffett of Blue River whose family has been searching for her since March 30.
Kentucky State Police are not saying much about the investigation.
Reffett’s body was found over an embankment off Route 1428.
She had last been seen walking between Allen and Prestonsburg.
