PRESTONSBURG, Ky. (WSIP) – A fugitive from Boyle County was arrested Tuesday after allegedly fleeing from a Floyd County Sheriff’s deputy in Prestonsburg.
63-year-old Johnny Ray McQueen is accused of driving away from a traffic stop, damaging property and traveling the wrong way on South Front Street at a high rate of speed. The citation alleges McQueen nearly struck two pedestrians before leaving his vehicle and fleeing on foot behind Billy Ray’s Restaurant.
He was arrested and charged with fleeing or evading police, criminal mischief, wanton endangerment, reckless driving and several other offenses including violating provisions of the Kentucky Sex Offender Registry.
