Road Closure Planned for Monday, June 30
PIKEVILLE, Ky. (June 27, 2025) –The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District 12 advises motorists in Johnson County of a temporary closure on KY 1559 scheduled for Monday, June 30, to allow for bridge deck repairs.
Crews will be performing concrete deck patching on the bridge located at mile point 5.47, near the Hilltop Road intersection. To safely complete this work, the bridge will be closed for the day and will reopen later that evening.
Drivers are asked to plan ahead and use alternate routes during the closure. The work is weather-dependent and may be rescheduled if necessary.
