No new cases of CWD found in wild deer FRANKFORT, Ky. (May 2, 2025) — The Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources has completed its Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) surveillance and testing for the 2024-2025 deer season. Testing of 9,204 samples statewide found no new cases of the disease in wild deer.
