Hagerhill man arrested after evading police during traffic stop

HAGERHILL, Ky. (WSIP) – A Hagerhill man was taken into custody after he attempted to run from Paintsville Police during a traffic stop.

61-year-old James Music was a passenger in a vehicle stopped for speeding on U.S. 23. Music resisted arrest and was later subdued by a taser.

Police recovered suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Music is facing numerous charges and is currently being held in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center.
