Officials are crediting technology for helping hikers to safety in eastern Kentucky on Saturday.
The Wolfe County Search and Rescue Team was contacted around 8 p.m. after the members of the group, which included two young children, reported they were lost in the Red River Gorge area.
The search team was able to send a locator link to the hikers to see where they were and guide them to a nearby road.
A Menifee County deputy assisted them from there.
A similar incident happened in the same area a week ago.
