Knott County Woman Arrested After Alleged Meth Use While Caring for Children at Clinic

PRESTONSBURG, Ky. (WXKQ/WSIP) – A Knott County woman was arrested Monday after authorities say she was under the influence of methamphetamine while caring for two young children at a Prestonsburg medical clinic.

Officers responded to Highlands ARH Medical Clinic after receiving a report of a woman, identified as Sara Elizabeth Conley, 26, of Topmost, displaying signs of impairment.

Police say Conley admitted to using the drug earlier that morning.

The children were released to a family member, and Conley was lodged in the Floyd County Detention Center on charges of public intoxication and two counts of endangering the welfare of a minor.
