Closure expected for one week, motorists will be detoured
SALYERSVILLE, Ky. (Jan. 10, 2024) – A portion of KY 2491 that runs underneath the Mountain Parkway east of Campton Exit 46 will be closed for road and bridge construction beginning Jan. 16. The closure is expected to last through Jan. 19.
Motorists traveling along this section of KY 2491, also known as Campton-Baptist Road or Baptist Fork Road, will be detoured to KY 1812, KY 191, and then KY 15 in Campton.
Signage and message boards will alert drivers to the closure and detour.
Drivers should use caution when traveling through active work zones.
Construction schedules may be adjusted due to weather or other unforeseen events.
