Kentucky State Police are investigating a stabbing in Floyd County that left one person injured.
Troopers were called Monday to a home on Right Fork Home Branch in Prestonsburg, where they found Joy Jervis suffering from multiple stab wounds to the chest and arm.
Following an investigation, 58-year-old Eddie Dmitruk of Prestonsburg was arrested and charged with First-Degree Assault. He is being held in the Floyd County Detention Center.
Trooper Tracy Salyers is leading the investigation with assistance from other state police personnel and local first responders.
The investigation remains ongoing.
