LONDON, Ky. (WSIP) – A Pike County woman sentenced to 45 years in federal prison for producing child sexual abuse material is appealing her sentence.
Pamela Denise Sargent, 45, of Kimper, pleaded guilty in March to two counts of producing child pornography.
Prosecutors said she admitted to creating explicit videos involving toddler-aged children.
Before sentencing, her attorney argued for a 15-year sentence, citing her low IQ and claims that she acted under threats.
Court records show Sargent has now filed notice that she intends to appeal the sentence to the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals.
