A Pike County man is facing an assault charge after Kentucky State Police say a property dispute between neighbors turned violent Sunday night in the Belfry area.

Troopers say 28-year-old Robert Lee Blankenship Jr., of Belfry, allegedly struck Ethan Marcum with a vehicle during an argument over a property line on North Big Creek Road.

Marcum was taken to Tug Valley ARH for treatment.

After interviewing those involved and witnesses, troopers arrested Blankenship Jr. on a charge of second-degree assault.

He was lodged in the Pike County Detention Center.
