U.S. Senate candidate Andy Barr is announcing a plan aimed to revive the coal industry in east Kentucky.
At a press conference in Harlan County, Barr said he’s “fighting alongside President Trump to make America energy dominant again.”
Barr says Washington’s “anti-energy policies” in recent years has come at a cost to the region.
The plan announced this week encompasses the revitalization of coal, the creation good-paying jobs, the affordability of power, and improvements to the reliability of power, noting today’s importance of artificial intelligence and advanced technology.
Barr is a republican candidate for U.S. Senate.
