The Superintendent of Johnson County Schools says despite rumors surrounding an online threat made toward the middle school for Monday, there was no actual threat to the school.
In a statement Superintendent Thom Cochran says social media posts about the presence of weapons, including screenshots of the alleged weapons, were thoroughly investigated and determined to have originated out of state, specifically from Florida, and not connected to any Johnson County school.
He says after an exhaustive review police found no evidence of weapons on any Johnson County school campus.
