Thompson Named COO At Highlands ARH Regional Medical Center

Highlands ARH Regional Medical Center in Prestonsburg has named Michael Thompson as its new chief operating officer.

Thompson most recently served as chief operating officer at Tug Valley ARH Regional Medical Center, a position he has held since May of last year.

Before joining ARH, Thompson worked as a chief financial officer for businesses in Kentucky, Ohio and West Virginia.

He says he wanted to use his experience improving systems to help patients and strengthen healthcare in the communities he serves.

Thompson and his family live in Paintsville.
