Floyd County Man Facing Drug-Related Charges

A Floyd County man, Keith Webb, who was out of jail after a guilty plea on drug charges in June, could be spending more time behind bars after he was arrested last week and charged with drug trafficking.  Last June, Webb pleaded  guilty and was given a three-year suspended sentence. Officials Investigating Floyd County Shooting

A shooting in Floyd County left one man seriously injured and airlifted to a hospital for treatment.  Reports from the Sheriff’s department the unidentified man suffered a single gunshot wound at a home along Route 404.   The incident remains under investigation.

Traffic Advisory: Overnight US 23 Detour Planned Monday at Flatwoods in Greenup County

Demolition of the old AK Steel overpass in Greenup County will temporarily close all four lanes of US 23 overnight Monday, Dec. 4, with all traffic detoured through Flatwoods. Contractors for Cleveland Cliffs plan to finish the demolition and reopen US 23 by Tuesday morning but work and detours could continue the next night, if needed.
